Don't Tell Me Yer Problems

I've laid upon a bed of pine,
with prickly briars in my spine.
Slept on pillows made from stone,
suffered many broken bones.

Nature's very kind, you see,
I'm blessed with every allergy.
Comfort comes between each sneeze,
with sinus pain within the wheeze.

The doctor says, " layoff the fat,
eat bland foods," imagine that!
Health can't come from what taste good.
Healthy food, should taste like wood?

My hip is throbbing and I'm sure,
for this arthritis, there's no cure.
One bright spot among the pain
is knowing when it's gonna rain.

I've shared a part of me with you,
don't feel sad, don't feel blue.
This Den I know is my retreat,
a place to rest these tired feet.

LOL:) The list gets longer as we get older. Sometimes my wrist throbs before it rains, because I broke it when I was in the first grade. You must experience that feeling, plus the arthritis! I'm only 33, but my body feels older at the moment. I go for back surgery this coming Tuesday - they're going to remove most of my lowest disc and replace it with an artificial one. Fusion with a stomach entry. Should be fun! I'll have more time for AD and writing while I recover. Oops...you said NOT to tell our problems...lol. Sorry! A fun read, Paul! Love and Hugs,
Sheila

Paul,
(Misery loves company?) You've come to the right place - we're all ears - and we're here for ya!
Hey, ain't that the truth? If you cut down on the sugar to cut calories, it tastes lousy. But if you don't mind the sugar, but cut down the fat, it's fattening! Geesh, there's no happy medium? (well, 'cept that cardboard is an option!)

Keep that proverbial chin up!

I normally find rhyme annoying, because so many poems have to fake it, but yours works out wonderfully and naturally. Great job!
