Some mornings are just too beautiful to ignore! I had to express what was in my heart and mind as I took my morning walk......
Crescent moon shining down on snow
Lighting the way as I crunch through the crust
I stop and listen…….
Hearing deer moving through the woods
My breath visible before me I lift my eyes
To the heavens to count the stars.
There is nothing to compare with the peace
Of being alone in the pre-dawn silence
Standing on a hill in the snow
Enjoying being a tiny part of this universe
And wondering who else might be awake and
Standing in the snow staring at the crescent moon.

So well written, I think I have frostbite. Kudos.
