As a departure from all the "Winter" poetry I dusted this old one of mine off and posted it as a promise of things to come as the weather FINALLY begins to change.......
Spring’s Trees
White blossoms caress branches which not so long ago
Were white with snow and weighted down by winter’s chill.
The smiles on passers-by prove their worth.
When blossoms fall and leaves bud bringing the shrouded canopy
Of Summer, the shady coolness will hold a lingering crispness
In spaces where the sun can’t touch no matter how earnest its’ effort.
Again the passers-by will appreciate the trees’ bounty as
Respite is sought in the oasis of greenery unfolding.
I wonder if nature’s creatures see the beauty as I do…
Do they know how lucky they are to live among the white
Blossomed branches and leafy languor of Spring’s gift to
Those who take the time to notice?………

Thank you so much,Just the thought of spring is so refreshing. I hate winter so bad cuz I always hurt so much worse. I so look forward to each spring and watch daily for the buds and tiny green leaves. Great piece. Thelma
