"In My Garden Of Joy"

Here we go again

Up…up… Up and away

To fantasy land I say

Where fairies still comes alive

And boys and girls

Still comes out to play

In my garden of joy

A raindrop becomes a river

And a fallen leave upon the water

My submarine

That cart pain away

Here where snails in love waltz along

On “Blue Danube” by Strauss

Played on Brass and violin

Where forget - me – not’

And daffodils are not only memories

As I play my panpipe

Bugs dance along

{No spiders allowed}

Where I can see them anyways

Over dark waterfalls with lacy frills

Tumble up and about

Oh what shall I do?

When my fantasyland just goes away

I think I will lose my head

And I will say to myself

“Lady now you are dead

Old, cold…or better

Dead!!

As always you bring joy to all of us here with your whimsical writes, even if they are a bit sad between the lines, and I would love to visit that garden someday, sounds so nice...kinda like Neverland as you must be Peter pan...;) Ed

Tinka,

This whimsical poem, is etched in melancholy at the ending and never ever think that things are better off like that. The music and graphic blend so well with your exceptional poem. Parts of it remind me very much of Lewis Carroll with the bugs waltzing to the tune of Blue Danube.

As a child I lived in the country, nearest neighbor a tree, and as I had an overactive imagination I was always envisioning fairies living in the trunks of moss covered trees, their doors in between the roots... I'd watch for them, look for them... of course they always avoided me. But I knew they were there.

IN MY GARDEN OF JOY reminded me of that magical time in my life. Only no one is better off dead. Can't see the garden, or find the fairies if we're dead, dear.

Listen to the wise Lady A, Tinka. The Eden of your youth resides within you and is there for refuge, but the garden of your life is still blooming. The bugs and snakes just represent things you don't want to face. Face them, and they're no longer a threat and you will one day see them as friends...

This is Beautiful in all ways! The dancing on the keyboard that you are doing, I dance along. as for the ending... You then look off in the distant or off to the side and you will see more dancing to be done and your fantasyland will never go away, there is beauty all around and the most beautiful beauty is in your mirror.
This is decorated so pretty I love the stationary you used. Beautiful as the poem yet not quite as beautiful as you.

Fantasy lands never go away, Tinka. And your garden of joy is wonderful. Our dreams may go away but our fantasy land will remain forever, because that is where most of us find our happiness.
