Oopsie..,NOT THE SAME WORDS BUT ...The

Idea the same!!

curiosity, fool, residence, blanket, windows,
lifted, among, misery, time, light, fern,
want, pride, kind, money, graze.

********  

Wounded Heart - Tony” s 16 word Challenge (repost)

This is my heart
I am talking about
It is wounded...badly scared
Not out of curiosity
Not out of spite
All because...
I want to be... your friend
But I made a fool of myself
Because...
It was not the right time
For us to meet...
Now I am your misery…
You brought light into my life
And I started to love you
Not your money… for that
I have too much pride
You where the only one among a thousand
Who was… so very kind to me..
Now in my residence I sit alone
And I am crying
Looking through the foggy windows of my living room.
The fern in the corner makes shadows against the wall
With this blanket I try to cover up my wounds
My spirit is not lifted… it is ruined
And all you can see
Is the terrible graze…
Of my wounded heart
Yes...wounded heart!!

HaHa, Girlfriend!!! Great minds think alike, I guess, or was it just a coincidence that we both grabbed the wrong words to write totally different poems? You did a much finer job than I did; the flow is smooth and the content seamless.

I like the natural flow and emotional outpouring of this, Tinka... and the added bonus that it deftly meets an admirable challenge is just the pink bow it comes wrapped in!! I can't bear presents that remain unwrapped :( Give it to someone special instead! :)) A Doctor in this instance, perhaps... now THERE's a thought... Natural and seemingly effortless, thank you.
