What Lesson Is There To Be Learned Today?

{ Just Thinking }

Thinking about a million things

A tiny feather caught my eye and I wonder

Standing here behind this glass door

What lesson is there to be learned today?

Knowing there are so many miles between us

In what we say

And what we want

And to do what we say we want

Because just everything

Is something said and done before

Like standing here

Behind this glass door

A see through door but locked

Hoping no one will ever see me like this

Standing here trying to decide

What next…what action to take

But nothing has been done

No matter how hard I try to forget

Aroma of burned food still hanging in the air

Thinking about drops of sweat

Upon your body wet

As those upon my body hot

But outside snow covers the soil

To become a snowman

Like the one deep within my heart right now

Life permitted me not to build a life with you

With bitterness

I turn around and wonder

Why am I still standing here?

'A see through door but locked' Powerful line, Tinka, and the gist of the whole lesson...I've had that lesson, too. Long. long ago..

Masterful write, Sister!

Introspection can be so cleansing, Tinka. You've covered a lot of territory here -- the most prominent item is that of love and 'why not'. Well-written, my friend.

CJ

deeply introspective, Tinka ... only you have the answer ... even if the question is rhetorical, there are always reasons to our motives ...

One of the questions that we all ask from time to time. God has a purpose...ALWAYS. We just don't see it when we're in the deepest valley, but we get a pretty good view of His plan when we climb out of it and stand on the peak. A beautiful write Tinka. Blessings always, Michelle

We all have a choice. Maybe you did choose the right thing. Yet I feel your sadness. And I feel so helpless, my friend, that I cannot tell you what to do. So I join you behind that glass door and wonder how cruel life can be....heck, get that wine bottle and let's see if you drink it you're not a jellyfish...oops I mean ghost. God bless you Tinka and may He take all your worries away. Victor

Perhaps because we all look back and wonder what could have been. And that's ok.
