Frozen Mind

Painful those finger – prints
Compressed into her flesh

Like some horizontal band of blue
On the edge of an iceberg she stands
The emptiness deep inside
Spanning like a bridge before her

Across the oceans without end
On numb feet and hands she stand

Left void
A frozen shadow of doubt
Waiting

Very expressive, powerful and dense, I'm impressed.
This is also very close to the way I've been feeling lately. Many words and images I can relate to.

Sometimes we can not always be sure of the things we need to be sure of the most...then trust has to cut in and smiles need to rule the day.

Oh, but she has such talent! A wonderful ear for language, a great eye for color and nuance, and the strength to allow herself to
f e e l. Experience her emotions instead of deadening or denying
them!! Bridge is a great metaphor [love the picture]. You will end up crossing one that will lead to a better and safer place, my friend. Adventures are ahead. . .you have no idea! Keep writing. Keep being you. Just takes the one step. Loving Hugs, Pea xOxOxOxX

A poem like an a silhouette of indigo emotions--painfully moody and yet deeply beautiful.

Thank you for this and for the many gifts--with their humor, pain, honesty, and love--of your poetry, stories, biographical writings, and very kind comments throughout the years.

May you enjoy a Christmas and New Year filled with much love, much thrilling inspiration, and truly soul-satisfying joy,

Aberjhani
