Heavy Laden

As time add weight to my heart

The laden become a burden

With eyes wide open

I lift my head towards the sky

I breathe deeply…to smell the rain

I see the changing colors of the sky

Moving in such a mysterious way

Clouds rolling down from mountains high

Never twice the same

I see silvery driftwoods passing by

Within rivers flow down below

And it makes me think

Of prowling eyes at night

Which might look beautiful to others

Left another loving heart…forsaken

I prefer the darkness that allows me to hide

From those prowling eyes

To see sparkling stars

But the wall of clouds covers it all

A heavy laden…of hope now gone

Down came the rain

I love the haunting longing I feel expressed thick!
As rain to me, is cleansing and soon the healing takes place!

Brooding, yes... Sometimes I feel blessed by such a brooding... at other times, isolated and beaten by it. This one seems of the prowling variety, and therefore predatory. You conjure atmosphere so well. Great words accompanied by stunning visual... which, being Brit, I find strangely comforting... Love, Kate xx

See, it rains because God secretly loves me best. God bless the rain... Did you know that those two little hyphens perpetually in front of my name are raindrops? Now you know. --Charlie
