Poem Artwork

Deep within the crest of hope,

the pulse of winter grabbed my soul once more….

with a cold stabbing temptation…

I lost control of my emotions deep….

This happens to us all at times dear sister. My therapist asked me what do I do when I start becoming depressed. I told her that I have friends online that I can turn to if I need to talk, or just comment on something they wrote. I told her that I write, and I write poetry and prose. She told me that is the best medicine of all.

We as women are emotional creatures, and sometimes we lose control of those emotions, only to cool down a few moments later and ask ourselves why the heck was I upset, or why the heck did I just eat that big slice of choclate cake. LOL. But after our rant is over, we just don't remember what caused our emotions to go awry. Thank you for sharing sis, and I can relate.

May the Lord Bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and walk by your side. With love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your den sister Barbie

Between the picture and your words - you brought a smile to my lips as I recognize myself.

very human write Tink, we all lose it in one way or another sooner or later, hey that cake can make anyone lose it, in fact the other day my wife and I went a couple of rounds over some chocolate and lemon loaf cake. She grabbed a few slices at a funeral dinner we attended, guess what I ate them later and got chewed out when she couldn't find them, anyway I went out and bought me a whole lemon loaf cake and ate the heck out of it during the course of the day, cheers

I'm assuming the cake won Tinks? LOL!! I love how you combined what sounds like an angst filled love poem with a photo of a woman going bonkers with a slice of cake! Great! Love, Michelle
