You sense when a great storm approaches
It rambles and shakes from the floor
Feels like horses stampeding
Just nature marching once more
The awesome drips that are speeding
Like bullets when rain hits the roof
Its hard to quiet your heartbeat
When drops are like horses hooves
They seem to be chasing their shadows
The shadows being the clouds
The darkness of forces approaching
Thunder that threatens...out loud
Flares of natures ambition
Feeding the earth with such force
Spears of light...ammunition
Threatening us all on her course
Marching like Sherman she broaches
The marshes that lead to the sea
Afterward calming her creatures
The animals, birds and then me
The calm after she leaves us
Its heaven smitten with greens
Limes and colors of emeralds
Washed over and smelling so clean.
The worst storms that I've seen came to visit me in Panama. They didn't have any tornados, but they sure had fierce thunderstorms that rumbled and grumbled for what seemed like hours.
You can visualize and almost smell the freshness and tang in the highly charged air in this atmospheric and dramatic pen Susan !
I have never witnessed storms like the Texan storms I saw last summer, where you had fork, sheet and radial lightning occuring at the same time, with monsoon like rain cascading down !

Mages in proto-Sumerian times were capable of manipulating thunder (http://www.aelives.com/gods.htm look under Baal). But like Bono of U2 sang some time ago already: 'You're an accident waiting to happen. You're a piece of glass left there on the beach' Mankind, through the brilliant spirit of Nikola Tesla (who detested war himself), has rediscovered the 'art' of waging weather war. Even the sensitive animals will receive no forewarning of such artificially created events. Yet these powers in the hands of arrogant and ignorant entities is dwarfed by the power of the Light.
