This is about the forest up near Anna Ruby Falls in the foothills of the Appalachians there in Georgia. I go there to fish for Rainbow Trout and see my friends the creatures of the forest, I have a freind there I met last spring and this day...he returned.

No End for Friends
Mozart plays and one can't resist
When symphonies abound out in the mist
Creeks are moving as bubbles merge
Melodious songs for springtime from birds
As softly the breeze circles this maze
The hums from afar waken the day
The Dragonfly gauzed in her green dress
Rotors redeem from her flying fortress
Wet ground of moss...earthworms that move
Dancing come Mayflies...cutting the groove
Badger out strolling moaning his groan
Chipmunks that scurry from their presence known
Then up stream a familiar sound of pure joy
His tracks noted sooner...yep its my boy
He stands so erect, proudly displayed
His rack all scarred from defensive play
He lasted through winter...these two have returned
My stag from the forest with eyes that still burn
I slowly respond with kindness...so gently
He knows this is me tall, blonde and tender
This friend whom I've missed my tears start to gather
Connections from last year with this nod that matters
The soul of this animal who touched my heart
This mystery gathers again to impart
The quiet of nature, respect for her glory
Woman...her deer...with no end to this story.
