Mother nature is the biggest terrorist, killing thounsands at one time. I truly feel sorry for all those people killed in Asia by the tidal wave.
So here we sit, all around terror want quit. Comfortably I am in my living room, outside everywhere terror does loom. The after effects of the vibration, affects a brain to its realization.
Here's the deal, horrible events are real, our heart and soul they try to steal. A small part feels the stress, the bigger fraction enjoys not being in the mess. A comfort zone remains, as all the terror stains.
Fear inside the head, worst than terror in the red. Got to protect the dome, it's my main home. Until terror comes knocking, its tidal wave gets blocking.
It came, it grew, it swept away. It will come again another day. Just wait. No use musing about terror. Live while we can, before mother nature takes it all.
What is Andy hollering about? Global Warning or Global Warming? We have excellent warning systems in USA. The countries that were hit the hardest do not have warning systems and were not able to get word to their people to have them evacuate. I am saddened by all the death and distruction and I pray that aid reaches these people swiftly. Perhaps this will be a wakeup call to their governments to get a system in place to alert their people of impending disaster. Thank you for your words, Grady.

This was NOT caused by global warming, an earth quake of 9.1 or so caused this, but global warming is still a problem and if the ice caps melt, all coastal cities everywhere will be wiped out eventually...
Now as for this poem, Grady, since it kinda got the last few off on a tangient...an excellent write on the power of mom Nature...I didn't know you wrote in the Nature category too, quite well I might add, Peace my friend, Ed & rufuz

I think America is listening it just that the countries most affected by this did not sign up for the warning system.

It was around 1:00 am IST when a mild tremor was experienced at Bangalore, I was half asleep reading Michael Crichton's "State of Fear" where he discusses about an imminent environmental disaster... When I opened the newspaper in the morning, was surprised to know what happened...Callous disaster management cost so many lives in India. It took two and half hours for the Tsunamis to hit the coastlines, people could have been alerted...two-and-half hour [time elapsed between two events: 1)Tremors rocking Indonesian coast and 2)Tsunami waves hitting Indian Costlines] means a whole 210 minutes...an olympic marathon race finishes in that time...Loss of lives in India was chiefly due to callous disaster management, their unpreparedness!

Yes natural disasters can really do some damage! Great capture of this feeling.
