The bird in the grass, didn't know the cat was about to jump his azz. Playfully he pecked around, until he heard a growling sound. He was a sparrow, and his escape was narrow.
Playfully I joked around, didn't hear the devil hound. My escape was slim, I barely evaded him. I was a teenage boy, never figured the devil wanted me for a toy.
Too me it's no mystery, how the devil almost made me history. But luckily God gave me another chance, as a grown man I make a stronger stance.
But sometimes I still feel like the bird in the grass, with the devil slipping up on my azz. The devils not so slick, now I know his trick. No way am I succumbing, because now I can feel him coming.
This is both imaginative and maybe a little scary. All but the part:
But luckily God gave me
another chance,
Keep praying. Keep writing.
God Bless,
Lew
