My wife and I were down in Delaware and I looked up to see millions of small birds as far as the eye could see migrating. The path they flew darkened the sky.
Us humans get stuck
in one place
birds can pack up and
fly south when the weather
is bad
I got a little sick and sad
I decided to fly south
packed up all my
good thoughts
leaving the bad ones
right where they were
My brain and I took off
down south of the border
to help get myself
back in order
All my life I've been
migrating with the birds
Leaving the sad
flying away to the glad
I had no choice
It was migrate
or get stuck in a sad state
feel bad can wait
Nothing has changed
call me a bird
I fly with my word
As long as there's
some sun
I'll be on the run
Chasing the moon and
the stars
tripping way out to mars
where birds can't fly
neither can I
but
I make the trip anyway
to help improve my day
