August surf
rhythms of midnight color
animate my sleep.

She forewarns me
from the sea
she will slip into my night
through a portal
I never knew I had.

Bedroom in faint light,
late summer’s misty moon.
I wrestle my pillow,
try to free myself from tangled thoughts--
aware
I’m not alone.

Hello,
she whispers,
a voice pursued many times on cyberwings.

I sense her touch
doing marvelous things in the hairs
on my chest,
hot breath explores the length of my body,
busy tongue skillfully
releasing latent sensations
experienced now
in guarded anticipation:

erect,
throbbing,
vital--
reaching for her face
masked in purple shadows.
seizing her,
pulling her to me,
again
again
again…
impassioned lips on mine.

Her cry: .
come to me now

Prolonged joy…
consumed in sounds of the sea.

She giggles softly,
closing my portal against the night,
abandons me
in uneasy sleep…

Dreams can be so real as I recently had a phone call from my mom who had passed away 13 years ago and I crid because she had to hang. Yes this was a dream. She was an Angel on earth so I know where she is. Thank you for sharing Gene another great write.

some kind of wickedly innocent succubus. ..
and i love all the fore[word]play
as if tis really on the illuminating moon that swirled your mind [and body], creating artistic renditions of chaotic bliss in that 'midnight colour'...so much depth and dark.ness in there; i dont think she really left.. .
you might want to check under the covers
or at the very least, in the corners
of your heart.
tinged with sexiness, this.
well spake thusly.

Your writing is the best dream re-creation on record. It's so damned real, I'm jealous as hell ! ! ! What is her dream number..... for a good friend, of course. Seriously, I would like to borrow her on a lonely night, soon. Okay?

I enjoyed this vision of a wet dream--represented so vividly in your poem. Although I have had visions like this myself, I could never have depicted the passion that visits us in our sleep with the dimensions that leap off the page here. Thank you for making it breathe or should I say gasp.
