Then he sleeps for another year, beginning as a new baby again. The action of this poem ages us in the timeless tradition of Auld Lange Syne, as sung in 1000's of pubs, from the of hearts 1000's of publicans, while awash in ale aplenty.

The new years baby toots from his butt,
Then we all the old year mourn,

This is the best kind of New Year poem. Snappy! I'm glad someone will wake up and toot a horn. I dont' even have one. Thanks for doing the job for those of us that wake-up without horns. Oh, wait a minute, maybe I do have some horns hidden somewhere on me. :o)
