~ I Say It Now ~


I say it now, the words I’ve kept inside my heart too long.
Words I meant to tell you, but I didn’t…I was wrong.
I say it now, while life gives me the chance to make it clear,
You mean so much more to me, with every passing year.



I say it now, the life we shared, was not the status quo,
The question was, which one of us would stay…and who would go.
I say it now, I left without a single look behind,
Wanting only to escape, to find the life I dreamt was mine.



I say it now, I burdened you, with what was meant to share,
Equally, between us, now the guilt is mine to bear.
Mixed emotions distanced us…reminders from the past,
Another life, it seems by now, but then, some memories last.



I say it now, without you, I’d be the one who stayed,
If it was in my power, I’d change the roles we played.
I’d change our painful yesterdays, erasing history’s write.
I say it now Dear Brother, you’re the Hero in my life.
