You can do anything in this world if you are prepared to take the consequences, and that is your sanity...

Poem Artwork

Nights fogginess swirls afore me
landscapes fineness blurred edges
fields of gray lacking refineness
definition fades into dispersion

Clarity swallowed up engulfed
fading to blackness
I cling to my sanity
confined staleness of air

Pulling a coin from my pocket
I throw it upward to the stale air
Just to hear the clink
rolling as it hits floors filth

No more do the days have a number

This must be the depth of despair, the border between sanity and insanity. A total desolation, locked from everything.

I love the ending sentence, it summarizes everything
"No more do the days have a number"
What a brilliant ending

A true psychological masterpiece Carol

A suspenseful write dear lady Lily, it is clear this person tries to hold on to their sanity.

Oh, do I know this feeling! This is a "bad space" to be in. Whomever this is about is in my thoughts.

Love ya!

heads over tales eventually our inadequacies become clear and our number then realized, vanishes through the cloud of our lucid dreams ...

I can completely relate to what you have expressed through your verses here, Carol. If you could see in my soul, you would witness that I am telling the truth. Love and best wishes to you from me,

I thinks someone put that in my drink once. Kidding. Decisions are made not always with clear vision or thought. Many factors contribute. Love, hate, pain, loneliness even finances at times effect what we decide out proportion yet the consequences maybe unending for just that breif moment. The consequences are none the less the same. Each day is the same for what is done is done and cannot be undone, we live with what we do. OK my twisted mind has spoken. I triguing and thought provoking prose.

Stay well and keep writing

Very interesting and on a mental level sounds like someone is lost within themselves with no where to turn except within the depths of despair.

Oops! Hard to get into this one, very different kind of writing from my friend, Carol. As you might say, may light and happiness flow your way.
