A Natural Sense of Rhythm

For three long decades
I've chased the teachings,
Lingering alone
In these deep mountains.
Now, by letting go,
I have gotten out
Of my long-term cavern.
What is the point
Of keeping together
My weary body
And overwhelmed soul!
Now, all days long
I'm hopping and singing
And clapping my hands
In time with my own rhythm.

Right on . . . now you are talkin'. It's all about letting go. Get out of that cave, take a deep breath of fresh air. The reality is everywhere around, and it is fitting that we clap and sing. This poem strikes the right cords, sounding a deeper sonorous note that lingers once the rhythms of the words have died away. I like. Saying much with little. John

I'd be hopping in singing, too, after free myself from a self-imposed prison for three decades of total isolation and loneliness! Whoopee!
