Elixir is a magical potion within all of us which is nourished with the Void through meditation in order to transform the intangible into tangible, a pebble into a piece of gold, a grain of dust into a great imagery.

I look into a ringing brook That threads its flight thru The rocky clefts and cliffs. Following its jolly babbling, I, step by step, turn purified-- Like the perfectly round pearl Rotated friction-free in the core Of my mind. The cherry flowers Stop falling off as soon as the wind Has settled; the birds hide themselves In the thicket; the mossy slopes of hills Promptly grow dark. . . This is all about The marvellous power that contemplation Brings on us from the height of profundity.

"From the height of profundity" indeed. I love the way you weave through insightful elements (examples) of nature to express a feeling, a sensation, a mood, a quality of life. This poem works well, its intent as clear as a bell and as sharp as a spear. John

A beautiful series of images that gives additional meaning to the art of contemplating, a sadly waning use of our sentient abilities. Your succinct piece is a hard reminder of how much time is wasted with the immediate gratuity of 140 character nonsense. But, of course, one must keep in mind, we've evolved into a global society (for the most part) of noise, mostly of intrusive and distracting sounds from our own narcissistic voice.
