A cicada's trill last night Has nothing to do With profound mourning, Which suggests that Someone is about to depart, Making oneself total With Nature in other territories.

That we would associate the mating call of the cicada with mourning is a sign of the human ability to associate with nature in ways that are probably unnatural. But certainly poetic.
