Poem Artwork

Of all the multitude of exuberant plants

Each and every one of them returns to its root

Without any knowing that it is doing so.

They all are as in the state of flourishing chaos,

And during all their short florescence

They do not leave their roots even for a while.

But if they knew that they all are returning

To their roots, they would be instinctively

Leaving them. Why would they strive to do so?

They do not have what is not enough for them,

Their flowering is as good as a feast; therefore

They do not ask after their roots' particular name.

From rooting to flowering they don't seek to spy out

Their own nature, and thus it is that they come to life

Of themselves, in their spontaneously beautiful way.

We are like the roots of flowering...each different in our own ways.

Always,

An interesting take on roots. We need to draw deeply from our roots so that we may "come to life" (of ourselves), "in their spontaneously beautiful way. Nice work. Jokhn

A plant's existence certainly does seem the way you describe it. However, there are plants on this planet that are over 5000 years old, older than any life span of any creature, and perhaps, all other plants.

Plants are certainly masters of survival, but without a means to reproduce, they wouldn't survive at all.
