Among all things

Which are

What they are
 
By the sway
 
Of Mother Earth,
 
There are the pine
 
And cedar trees which
 
Are the best examples--
 
In the winter cold
 
As in summer heat
 
They stand brightly green, 

Like immortal dragons.

Immortal dragons indeed. How I love trees and everything about them. And you are right, they do nobly stand up to summer head and winter cold. It's as if nothing phases them, until they are mercilessly cut down. John

Redwoods too. Your choices are certainly better than Eucalyptus. In the last storm down here (in SoCal) almost 200 of them fell where I work. Enjoyed your thoughts... r
