Being at the head of a foreign campaign,
He surmounts high hills and deep dales—
It takes great efforts of a worthy leader
To accomplish such a long term mission.
His position in the centre of the armies
Defines his mighty power of Commander.
And the battle of decision to himself
Has been that as he rose like a cannon shot,
Fell like an empty cartridge: his vanguard
Has got stuck in a crevice on the rocky pass,
Bringing the whole column to a big disorder.
The thing is that the mapping out
Of marching route was enacted over
His head by his military aides who
Set aside the key factors of topography
And disposition of troops on the ground.
It's good to notice here that the ancients
Discerned in general two sorts of men:
Those who are involved in gambling and
Those who generate strategies and plans.
The latter sort of men is used to prosper,
While the former perishes in the end.
And that's the natural pace of developments.
But how come that it works just like this?
The point is that the strategists are able
To create favourable conditions by themselves
And show them to good advantages
To win the world in spite of circumstances.
