Fine rain at daytime
And mizzle at night
Stand as a solid mass
Of water able to moisten
The dried out gullies,
And just in a couple of days
The whole low-lying vale
Becomes completely soaked.
The drizzling rain but is able
To saturate the whole valley
(The token of the solid spirit),
That comes to be one solid flow.
This is the way humility
Wins the world passively
And without further ado.
All those who know highs
Yet keep to lows are like
A low-lying valley of the world;
To be the low-lying valley means
To complete one's course to dregs;
To complete one's course
Is to return to the state
Of uncarved block of wood --
So simple in manner but
So fine in matter.
