Remains of the autumn cast,
Offering up the winter sacrifice,
Spread sweetly astringent taste
Smelled even in a chilly midnight.
The tree on its healthy roots and
With hard wood does not afraid
Of any gradient of temperature,
Remaining vital in severe cold
And torrid heat; it always keeps
A low profile to be fruit-bearing.
