There's a moment at the end of the day
When you have nothing to say
Or to add to what has already been said by others.
Yes, the world rolls in full accord
With its own arrangement; hence,
There is nothing you need to strive for.
Just get used to watching the rolling changes
In all events, feelings, and in every deal,
While eternity by an exact rehashing
Turns all and everything into the dust of dreams.
Then from the dust it brings a seed to life again
Which grows to the sky, launching a new coil of hope,
And the earthly time moves on in the flight
Of the shooting stars before overtaken by night.
One day you will realize the law
That works for all and everything,
Including your joy and sadness. And then
Your dreams will become clean and transparent,
Like a newborn baby tears. After all,
You live in your dreams not for nothing
Where everything is obscure with you:
Now you go through water and fire,
Now you take pleasure and enjoy your fame,
Now you cross the deep blue sea again
And you go through the mill for the nth time.
But in the end there comes a precise definition,
Which makes you say or add not a word
To what is already said time and again by many.
Yes, this world's order is unchanging,
And there is no other path to be set out.
Your poem reveals a lot. In its 4 billion year existence, the earth as developed many cycles of life for its ecosystem that recycles nearly everything, including us, through generations upon generations. Hence, we stand upon the shoulders of literary giants from Mesopotamia, Egypt, Babylon, Greece, Rome and countless others. We have our play at the game, but often we are just rehashing and recycling unless we can, somehow, rise above.
I think you are on to something here. As individuals we have to do it, go through earth, water and fire. At the end of the day, there is nothing to say, just hear the old world order out. The only true path set out is the one we have to take individually.
