Hair Apparent I'm glad that I still have my hair, I think that if it was not there I'd be self conscious as could be, And wonder what folks think of me. I know I should not be upset, The way we look is what we get. Inside is what should matter most, So no one has a right to boast. I'd rather have my bad hair days Than go around reflecting rays, But there are men who look real good With heads resembling polished wood. So if I keep my hair or not I'll just give thanks for what I've got. And if you are of hair bereft Be thankful for whatever's left. John H. Bidwell

Hey John I got to read this yesterday. I told my husband about the part "with heads resembling polished wood." I'd say his resembles birch. His birth name was "Burch." Great poem. It's nice to have hair, if I say so myself.
