In this mystical world of fantasy and delight,
beauty and meaning are often times subdued,
as simple pleasures just seems to feel so right,
spirits dancing across the sky of velvet blue.
Lost in our lustful desires of intimate passion,
set in motion feelings that can not be contained,
values are compromised in the name of fashion,
moments lost as endless hearts are restrained.
Enchanted land where streams and rivers flow,
truth, clouded in the mist of self-serving schemes,
lost is the innocence as the strong wind blows,
the darkness of reality overshadows our dreams.
Upon life’s path one must awaken to the rain,
reflecting upon what was lost over the years,
realizing the shattered hearts, and all the pain,
forgiving one’s self will bring forth the tears.
Life is more complex than simple pleasure,
true happiness is found in the meaning of love,
sharing, caring, a feeling beyond all measure,
the one thing in life sent from the heavens above.
