Mountain of Tranquility


An alpestrine setting sitting upon stone,
where a misty dew clouds the chilled air,
radiates a warm solitude of nature’s own,
as an angelic presence of spirit is shared.

The sounds of silence screams so loud,
yet feeling the presence of peace so true ,
a sensation of just floating upon a cloud,
surrounded by the skies of endless blue.

Panoramic view, a breath taking scene,
at one with nature brings an inner peace,
pondering thoughts with feeling so serene,
uplifts one’s spirit with a new found lease.

With spread wings an eagle soars above,
a splendor of the wild searching for prey,
boldly feared by the early morning dove,
snow cap mountain, such a heavenly perch.

So far away from the sleepless city lights,
serenity consumes the essence of one’s soul,
but down in the civilized world, people fight,
and sadly, power and greed take a mortal toll.
