The wind blew softly across the grass,
the dew glistened in the morning light,
an eagle soared above making a pass,
wonders of nature, such a warm sight.
Roaring sound of water over the falls,
white caps spouting, crashing motion,
surrounded by evergreen trees so tall,
the forest connects with our emotion.
Cascading falls meet the raging river,
water swirls, currents too swift to swim,
unexplained mystical quality it delivers,
the air filled with a mist from the wind.
Beneath the falls appears a mighty spray,
with water rising then falling like rain,
a beautiful sight to cherish every day,
rapture makes us forget enduring pain.
Sky ever so blue consumed by the sun,
the essences of nature’s spiritual flow,
a placid reality, without a need to run,
enjoying the beauty you come to know.
This piece captures a beautiful portrait that leaves our pain and sorrow "calm" for a few minutes while we live in the portrait. Thanks for sharing such a nice poem.
Very well done.
Love,
Susan
