Bird In A Tree

A bird sat perched upon a branch,
as the light of dawn filled the air,
high in a tree above the old ranch,
a scenic view beyond all compare.

The magnificence of a bird in flight,
with boundless freedom as it soars,
just taking in the wondrous sights,
high above the busy highway roars.

Gracious beauty of being able to fly,
it is one of nature’s magical wonders,
there to enjoy without knowing why,
birds gliding with all their thunder.

Faith cast to the wind as you behold,
the birds that fly and fish that swim,
life turns out the way the story unfolds,
some of us are lost and others will win.

Just a simple little bird sitting up in a tree,
yet the complexity brings us to our knees
wondering if he actually knows that he’s free,
if only we could comprehend nature’s pleads.

yet the complexity brings us to our knees
wondering if he actually knows that he’s free. . ." 's'GREAT!

Samuel, this is so nice. I wish I was that bird. Birds are so lucky they can fly wherever they want.

Wonderful write!!!

The tiny bird has more freedom than that which we impart to ourselves. I am overjoyed to read really good nature poetry. My mind would be Jell-o if it weren't for my profound love of the creatures of my environment. We are two passionate poets for nature.
Thank you Samuel.
