A Tear Drop
An Evergreen tree standing ever so tall,
branches waving in the blowing wind,
in a storm it breaks, to the ground it falls,
leaving behind seedlings, its next of kin.
For all living things life will one day end,
the cycle of nature, nothing is made to last,
death an evil enemy, or a welcome friend,
while you're here don't focus on the past.
Mystical beauty is found in all living things,
from the furry animals that graciously roam,
to the birds in flight that spread their wings,
to you and I, nestled in a place called home.
Each one faces a struggle beyond all compare,
where good verses evil wage an endless war,
in the mist of love and the blessings we share,
opening our hearts while others shut the door.
A tree falls to the ground with a heavy crash,
bring forth the focus of our inner most fears,
life is lived and spent in an instant of a flash,
will anyone notice or even shed a single tear?
