Alaska’s Midnight Sun
Enchanted land of the midnight sun,
whispering secrets of nature’s land,
in the wind the mystery has begun,
from mountains to the beach of sand.
Majestic beauty, snow capped cliffs,
to the pristine waters ever so cold,
Eagles soar upon the wind that lifts,
in flight their rare story is often told.
Cascading waterfalls flowing to the sea,
icebergs floating upon the water of blue,
the oneness of nature being all it can be,
surrounded by the serenity ever so true .
Gristly Bears playing in an open field,
compared to the children in a city park,
in the wilderness they need no shield,
for reckless violence hasn’t left it’s mark.
Whales frolicking in the ocean waves,
seals giving birth upon the floating ice,
man is the one who needs to be saved,
basking in the midnight sun is so nice.
