Mystical Enchantment
Water rippling across the rocks,
creating white caps with a splash,
as it flows by the rickety old dock,
misty spray and wind forever clash.
Crystal waters clear and ever so blue,
a perfect reflection of the sky above,
just nature’s own artistry ever so true ,
in flight a single lonesome white dove.
Smell of salt permeates the ocean air,
tasting the salt upon your moist lips,
a setting of serenity ever rich and rare,
boats tied up in their own little slips.
A place where low flying Seagulls soar,
and the wind in the air constantly blows,
mystical enchantment outside the door,
from whence it came no one really knows.
Whitecaps, the waves such a thrill,
upon the shore to an instinctive beat,
fiercely pounding at it’s own will,
I, in the shade, try to avoid the heat.
