Rainy Days, Rainy Nights
Vast sky in darken shades of grey,
rain falling to the soaking ground,
facing yet another stormy wet day,
rising water begins to seize the town.
Wind blowing, such power and might,
trees bending as they crack and sway,
with it’s raw fury creating such a sight,
but for nature it’s just it’s natural way.
Thunder cracks a mighty explosion heard,
sky burning intensely with lightening fire,
creatures seek shelter even the small birds,
in the storm no one knows who might expire.
Intensity rising bringing with it the fear,
sand bags on sand bags creating a wall,
surviving, no time to shed a single tear,
no matter how high you stack it will fall.
From day to night the rain continues to pour,
surrounded like an island force to just stay,
morning the water is knocking on your door,
now, fearing the end is near you begin to pray.
