The Ocean’s Lure


The rapture and excitement of the ocean,
draws us one and all to the all-powerful sea,
possessed by her mystical luring devotion,
she lets each one of us see what we can be.

Her forceful waves pounding upon the beach,
agelessly enduring in a realm withstanding time,
her raw onsets and existence designed to teach,
a oneness of uniformity that boggles the mind.

All the while her white caps prance in her wake,
while mighty waves ever so high rush to the shore,
over and over, again and again, never to break,
her own prevailing, crashing knock upon our door.

Her powerful unremitting action brings us hope,
instilling us each with an insight as to who we are,
nature’s wild harmonic order enables us to cope,
rolling blue seas, waves crashing both near and afar.

The ocean’s magnificent splendor always in the lead,
we continue to falter while performing our daily task,
yet, watching the deep blue sea sustaining in her needs,
is truly a wonder each day from the present to the past.
