Alaska Revisited


Rolling mountains with snow capped peaks,
beneath an angelic silvery sky cast in stone,
great land of Alaska bold yet ever so meek,
shimmering lights setting an unruffled tone.

Bald eagles soaring proudly across the sky,
harbor seals fishing for all they need to eat,
carved out of ice and stone bold yet so shy,
where raw essence and placid beauty meet.

Bears on the shore, streams turn to the ocean,
salmon jumping, bears catching one by one,
magnificent splendor set in natural devotion,
as timeless unity revolving never to be done.

Waterfalls cascading with a translucent flow,
on jag it rocks to the raging rivers and streams,
with nature’s secrets we’ll never come to know,
while a cloudy veil of fog lingers as if in a dream.

Natural serenity transforms into an artistic delight,
one with nature brings a contentment ever so rare,
the Northern lights dance, such a captivating sight,
in Alaska where nature devotes of herself to share.
