The Last war
came and went
In a series of
blazing flashes
Around the fearful,
trembling world
The dreadful fallout
That followed
destroyed
mankind
and all living things
on the surface
of the planet
the Plants died
Even the great seas
became dry !
There were no winners
in that dreadful
foolish war
And now I beat my breast
in sorrow
And shed bitter tears
As I think of all
Those
wonderful
innocent,
Children,
Animals and
Flowers
that were
wantonly
destroyed !
all because
of the
Dark Forces
that gripped
and controlled
Mankind
at that time
so long ago!
Now the Earth
Is still floating
Among the other
Dead planets
the last
of the great planets
that inhabited
the cold indifferent
Universe.
