Quietly without advance warning
earth stirs in her wintry sleep,
like a hidden alarm clock,
life begins anew, dark and deep
Nature senses a familiar change
birds sing a different tune I know,
squirrels gaze at puffs of green,
I feel a melody in my soul
While some places life is still cold
the earth senses a change in her too,
longer days and a warmer sun,
thawing the hearts of me and you
Till one day winter is gone
flowers, grass and trees will bloom,
light will touch a Poet's mind,
even in an uninspired room
Come forth Earth, from your Wintry Sleep
kiss the boundaries of my mind,
draw me out of my warm inhabited prison,
Breathe Life into the hearts of mankind
let the light come through and may your
thoughts continue to bloom in this Poet's Mind...
Love and Light
