Honoring Indigenous People's Day ~ 'Odashwa' is the name I received when my partner and I selected this drum at the Gathering Tribes store in Albany, CA. on 8/11/2011. Odashwa was crafted by Giarmo Martiny.

We stand at the center of four winds and seven directions. We greet you with humility and with gratitude for the sacrifice of Elk and Buffalo and Cow and Tree. Please accept this offering of tobacco and sage as we welcome you in our joining. We promise to be true guardians of your spirit and always to be in harmonious rhythm with Mother Earth and World Soul through you, as One. ~~~

If only everyone was in harmonious rhythm with Mother Earth and World Soul.

My Order of the Arrow (Boy Scouts) name was Scared Rabbit, but I was never scared when out in Mother Earth. I was at home and enjoying every moment.
