Our world today

After my last Biology class it opened my eyes to what the world is coming to.

I worry about our world today,

And who within it has anything to say,

About our trees that are being cut down,

And no more planted in the ground.

I worry that there’ll be no air,

And no one left who will care.

And what will the future bring,

And what’ll be left if anything.

Will there be any water safe to drink?

And will there be enough-I shudder to think,

That anything left will be polluted so,

Makes me wonder what is our goal.

The food of today is not like the past,

The quality, it seems, just didn’t last.

For I quiver to think of our world today,

And who within it has anything to say.

An excellent insightful write, Fawn. But so many don't understand that these conditions are directly related to human overpopulation.
If one wants to save the whales, don't come at me asking for money, but reduce the number of future humans.
Write on!

A wonderfull caring write Fawn - and a wake up call to many. Am so glad to know there are some of our youth who do know.. who do care- that means there is hope..
Always - there is hope.

Fawn, this is so deep. It touches this one to know that our youth are seeing this. You write exceptional, Fawn.... your words are not taken lightly by this one...
