Gracefully inside we hear the sound of peace
it hushes through the stars sprinkling love all around
and as a child of innocence appears to teach us
greater things , such as,
laughter, smiles, and simple pleasures
we realize, that life goes on no matter what
Even through confinement in moments such as these
we can turn to each other and do as we please
inside our homes, behind the safety of the walls
people are still dreaming of a spring time,

All the flowers in the garden, are waiting to grow
and when this is all over, we will be free again
to hug, to kiss, to hold, and to forever be
Lets do our part and stay inside for soon one day

I'M A HOMEBODY, SO...THIS PERIOD OF QUARANTINE IS NOT A TRIAL TO ME AT ALL. BUT STILL, I ENJOYED THE FRESH AIR AND TIME OF WALKING WHEN I VENTURED OUT YESTERDAY AFTER 2 WEEKS. HOWEVER, I AM SURE, FOR THOSE WHO COULD NOT GO OUT AS THEY WOULD LIKE, THIS MANDATE HAS BEEN FOUND TO BE SOMEWHAT TAXING. AND IT'S UNDERSTANDABLE THAT THEY DREAM OF BEING ABLE TO ENJOY THE OUTDOORS AT WILL. BUT YOU ARE RIGHT...FOR NOW, FOLLOW PROTOCOL, FOR THE 'NORM' WILL COME ONCE AGAIN. Dreaming and thinking positive are so vital now. Being realistic and accurate are vital as well. Perhaps poets can help a little in that respect. At least with each other. "Barefoot and happy." Big hugs for you for being such a gem. Yes, I agree we can enjoy spending time enjoying ourselves doing what we like to do. I think limiting TV News time to 30 minutes 2 x per day is a good recipe for sanity. The rest of the time I like to listen to jazz or oldies. If anything is Urgent the radio will broadcast it for sure. Now I need to take off my Crocks and go bare. LOL
