I was abandoned
in the dream.
Left alone with no way back.
I felt embarrassed
standing there, barefoot in my
plaid flannel bathrobe.
I was hopeless, crying,
until I saw myself
through the store window.
My hands banged on the glass
and I said, “Janet! please help me!”
I was nicely dressed and looking
disgusted with the me outside.
The other Janet walked through
the clouded window, looked at me,
sighed and said “okay,
we’ve got to get you home.”
I looked down to see that my
robe was gone.
I wore a skirt, blouse and shoes.
She took me by the hand
and lifted me into the sky.
We flew over a mountain
lush with color that my eyes
had never experienced.
My spirit filled with awe and delight.
I wanted to soar forever.
But she dropped me down
close to home and said,
“You’re on you own now.”
“Please don’t leave me!”
I cried.
But she walked away
and did not look back.

ain't that the truth...unless it's dire...it's willing to help you when you're willing to help yourself

sometimes in dreams we can see ourselves shedding the surface reality of our innermost surfaces ...

a convincing dream that offers a glipmse into your pyscho-spiritual metamorphosis ...

This is very deep and does reflect how the inner and outer selfs work to help each other out. Great images here.

A poemization of life painting its ontologic colors on the doors of self-analysis to depict One within the teleological thoughts to define life... "Me Myself Dream"... - is a poetic image of a true human being that understands the mission of existing while existing in the eternity of now forever.

I salute You, Sublime Poet!

Um, Janet, first things first. You see that couch over there by the wall? Yes, that's the one. Take off your coat and lie down on it, please, then we can commence dissecting your dream for you, okay? Would you like that? JUST KIDDING! JUST KIDDING! Ferchristsakes, just kidding. Love this out of body experience you presented us, and no matter what, you can honestly know that you are never alone, it only seems like that is the case at times. Good poem.
