According to National Geographic, nature is already rapidly changing to the changing climate that global warming is bringing. The worry is that we will probably lose a lot of species, while species like cardinals and blue jays will probably prosper. The food that these animals and birds eat will be the determining factor in their survival.

I have a pair of Cardinals and a pair of Blue Jays that don't seem to argue and have stayed here, summer and winter. We are having wild temperature swings to follow the stock market.

So strange is right. For the last 2 yrs. our lilacs have not bloomed. They budded way to early, only to suffer freezing temps once again. Whether one believes in climate change or not, we sure have crazy weather these days.

So strange, but I am not sure I do know. Yes, sometimes Spring brushes aside the harsh winter. Certainly, the glorious bluejay knows !

When I lived up there in the Buckeye state, the blue jays use to chase away all the cardinals. Had to keep my BB gun handy to blast their blue butts away.
