The beauty of early morning silence is enhanced only by song and flowers.

Sun's up it's morning
Morning birds tweeting
Dewdrops are sparkling
Tree frogs repeating

Barefoot in wet grass
Soon I am running
Stop by the Marsh where
Turtles are sunning

Moss lays a carpet
So I sit on it
Queen Ann's lace dance with
Lovely bluebonnet

Time to get on home
Morning has kissed me
Dewdrops and flowers
Birds chirping sweetly

How very refreshing and cool is this gentle verse! I love your mention of Queen Anne's Lace, a favorite wildflower of mine, and the metaphor you used at the end: "morning has kissed me" is so lovely. You remind me of a poem I wrote about dew that I may go and post now! thank-you for the inspiration and a beautiful piece to read.

In a chaotic world, if only more would seek out this kind of beginning to the day. For me, it's up at 5 and watering the gardens I have. Then off to some writing before I start my editing and proofing for Blackstone. This combo starts my day always with a positive energy.
