Lights so Bright…

In through my window they assault me,

High beams of cars driving thru the woods,

Apparently they cannot see,

When heading in my direction, so bright they be…

They blind us, and scare us, if they reflect & flash,

They almost for me leave a visible mark, yes a gash,

Even closing the curtains, does little to that trash,

Of these lights so bright, they must cost lots of cash…

They do blind us on the road as well,

But who am I to say or tell,

I think they should be illegal as hell,

But, the one thing this state has not made wrong,

Are these lights that appear to blind so long…

My fog lights on my Jeep are just as bright,

But I use consideration when driving in the night,

I turn them off, once an oncoming car is seen,

Usually they leave their super-white lights on,

Making me turn my head to the opposite side,

Geez, these people should go and hide,

For they have no consideration of others, it seems,

Or maybe I need a weapon of light, like a laser beam,

To knock out their lights, “oh my, it must have just blew…”
