PowerBar Founder Maxwell Dies at 51, another fitness guru dies young...is it worth it?

Fitness Guru’s Die at a Young Age, Relatively…

Funny how those that exercise and run,

Do die at a young age; it seems more than fun,

They run to increase their health,

But they die when their health gives out early,

Is this normal or is this the fact that they pushed themselves,

Beyond the limits of human endurance through out life,

Thereby creating within, a body dying at an increased speed…

I hate to think this way, as my best friend, does run, and exercises too,

He always tells me how my body will give out, from all the bad I do,

But he seems to have all the problems, baldness, bad knees, pain in the joints,

While I just pop some pills and move on, smoking my kind of joints…

So, if you exercise now, or have done so all your life,

Remember all those guys that have died at a young age,

Even though they exercise and like that,

Maybe in reality, those of us that, smoke, drink, and over eat,

Will be the ones to live while the runners, walkers, and exercisers,

Will be moving on before us to heaven, the next life or wherever…

So keep doing what you are doing, as it cannot be too bad,

If you are living later than your early fifties, what you do must not be sad,

Take advantage of what you eat, no exercise, lots of red meat,

And you may outlive all those fitness guru’s,

Now wouldn’t that just be so freakin’ neat…?

Moderation is the key to a long and healthy life. Those fitness gurus do not practice moderation--they are extremists. I'm looking forward to nice weather so I can go out on my lunch hour and take a brisk walk everyday. Don't have the time or desire to go to a stuffy gym filled with sweaty bodies. I prefer fresh air. I've tried going to a gym--didn't like it. I do need to lose quite a bit of weight, but I'm not going to kill myself doing it.

ROT ROT ROT, LOLOL, No actually, in some ways I agree, I mean look at Winston Churchill, 91, smoked all his life, ate heaps meat.
But then there are those who are health food and fitness fanatics, and live long too, I just think its all predestined.
How else can you explain it. But still, I think you gotta try and keep the bod in decent shape, even if you still end up suffering.
One of the mysteries of life eh.

Quit it with that hooch though mate, that was created for boiling and drinking to cure bronchitis, true I lie to you not. :)
Love Ch'erie
