Lack of Food

Diets suck, but I have not felt like eating too much of late, one meal a day is enough it seems...

Lack of Food…

Have not eaten very much of late,

Not for lack of trying, just for lack of desire,

I find myself uninterested; herein I am no liar,

Maybe it’s the medications, maybe the age thing again,

But either way, my want of food seems to abate…

Sure I am on a diet, like everyone else in the world today,

All our doctors tell us, “you are overweight, got to lose,”

What do they think we are doing, taking a snooze?

Of course we are eating healthier, though I am not, I do say,

Eating healthy means more greens and rabbit food,

Salads, carrots, beans and the like, better to die right now,

Than put up with a diet like that, puts me right into a bad mood…

So, maybe I will feel more like eating today, or not,

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t, mostly I eat junk,

A candy bar & Cherry coke, sometimes my main staple,

Gets me through a few hours, till next I am able,

To get a bite somewhere on the road, never do I eat at a table…

Ed I feel the same way
every morning I say
today I'll eat light
until I get my first bit to eat
then I am unable to stop all day
Like an addict,. candy food, the whole nine yards
