Early to rise makes one squirrelly...

EARLY…

Again an early hour,

Awake I am, with enough sleep I got power,

Though some may or do glower,

My face, my mind is that of flower…

At this hour of the morning, so early,

I find myself to be altogether quite squirrelly,

Want to get out and do what must be done, quite surely,

Know in the end & the beginning as I do defend,

That I will end up sitting here all day, writing things so worldly…

The world outside is awaking; I have been thus,

Guess it is time, yes guess I just must,

Be of good cheer & go catch the bus,

Once caught, what shall I do with it?

It is bigger than a bread box,

And the people therein, they will certainly be stating the cuss…

You sound like the dog that incessantly chases the car; does it ever wonder what it will do with that car, if it catches it? I wonder.

Good to wake up early and have more time ahead to do what you want to do. Wonderful refreshing poem.

Yep, Ed.. it's damned early but I love mornings.. spring has to be the very best time to wake early. True to yourself, you've again penned a 'slice' of yourself and it's truly sweet to be 'learning you'.. Enjoy your day. katy xox.
